Harish Uthaman was born on 5 April 1982. He is an Indian movie actor who comes up in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada movies. He made his début depicting the lead role in Tha (2010), before acting villains in Gouravam, Pandiya Naadu, Meagamann, Power and Srimanthudu. He has acted in short films like Aazh Kadal, Kalaivu, etc. as the Hero and a musical album by Tarang named ‘Undone’.

Personal life

Harish roots lie in a Malayali family. He wedded Mumbai-based celebrity Makeup Artist Amrita Kalyanpur. Their marriage was carried out on 6 September 2018 at Guruvayur Temple, Kerala in a confidential conventional ceremony in the existence of friends and family.

Career

Harish’s early job was as a part of the cabin staff, helping with Paramount Airways for three years and later with British Airways for three additional years. He also briefly worked in a commercial corporation in Chennai before Suriya Prabhakaran, which requested him the lead role in a movie. Harish thus made his acting début with the meager allowance 2010 romantic Tamil film Tha, which unlocked to above average reviews. To prepare for this role he rose his beard for five months and did struggle to darken his skin by spreading oil and sitting in the sunshine as per the role’s needs. 

The film had a restricted release and went unnoticed at the box office, and his accomplishment was interpreted as “apt” by reviewers. But, the movie was telecasted at an International fest held in Norway. Harish earned an award for the best debutant actor.

He was proposed to the director Suseenthiran for a role in Pandiya Naadu by Suriya Prabhakaran, his first director, and took off to gain significant honor for his accomplishment in a villainous role.

His forthcoming works include The Chase, Laabam, Kaasiminte Kadal, Otthaikku Otthai, Vanangamudi and Theerpugal Virkapadum.
