Prakash Raj, an Indian actor, director, producer, film presenter, activist, and politician. Prakash was born on 26 March 1965 in Bangalore, Mysore, and is 56 years old. Through making his debut in Tamil cinema through Duet in 1994 by K. Balachander, some of his successful films include Mani Ratnam’s Iruvar in 1985, Antahpuram in 1998, Kanchivaram in 2007, and many more.
His filmy career got started from his debut Duet and then no looking back. So the actor named his production company Duet Movies. Other than Kannada, he also knows Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Hindi, and English.
Moreover, Prakash Raj hosted season 2 of the Kaun Banega Crorepati Tamil version. The actor got married to Lalitha Kumari in 1994. Having two daughters Meghna and Pooja and a son Sidhu who unfortunately died in 2004, the couple got divorced in 2009.

Talking about his political career, the actor initiated a political movement through the hashtag #justasking after his friend Gauri Lankesh died in September 2017. He stood in 2019 Indian General Elections as an independent candidate for the Bangalore Central Lok Sabha Constituency and lost the elections because of having only 3% votes in the elections. Also, he adopted the villages Kondareddypalle in Mahabubnagar District, Telangana state, and Bandlarahatti in Chitradurga district, Karnataka.
