Deverakonda Vijay Sai was born on 9 May 1989 and he is an Indian actor and producer who chiefly works in Telugu movies. He debuted in 2011 in Ravi Babu’s romantic comedy Nuvvila and attained glory for his assisting role in Yevade Subramanyam (2015). Deverakonda came to be more popular after his lead role in the 2016 romantic comedy Pelli Choopulu, which gained the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu and the Filmfare Award for Best Film – Telugu.

Early life

Deverakonda was born in Achampet of present-day Telangana, India, to Govardhan Rao and Madhavi. His father was a minor television serial director who stops accomplishing them due to the absence of accomplishment while his mother is a soft skills mentor. He followed Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School, Anantapur, and Little Flower Junior College, Hyderabad. He succeeded at Badruka College of Commerce, Hyderabad. He has a younger brother, Anand Deverakonda who is also a film actor.


Deverakonda gave rise to his debut with Ravi Babu-directed romantic comedy Nuvvila (2011). He later appeared in Sekhar Kammula’s Life is Beautiful in a secondary role. Both movies were decently profitable but declined to give Devarakonda much popularity.

His first lead role was in Pelli Choopulu, a romantic coming-of-age movie directed by Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam. The movie came to be commercially profitable and earned the Best Feature Film in Telugu and the Filmfare Award for Best Film – Telugu at the 64th National Film Awards.

In 2019, Devarakonda was discerned in Bharat Kamma’s Dear Comrade, a romantic action drama, alongside Rashmika Mandanna. He deceased signed Hero, directed by Anand Annamalai co-starring Malavika Mohanan. But the movie was reportedly shelved after starting up its generation.
